O Bella Ciao

O Bella Ciao is my tour dedicated to the cities of art. Italy is an extraordinary country for the concentration of artistic heritage and the goal of this tour is to give you the opportunity to get to know some of our beauties. O bella Ciao is spread over ten days and includes arrival and departure from Rome, but for each customer it is possible to study an ad hoc itinerary.

Day 1

Arrival at the airport, meeting with your driver who will take you to the hotel or bnb of your choice. Free day to explore the city a little and rest.

Day 2

After your breakfast, today you will get to know some of the most evocative sites of the Eternal City.

The first stop is the Colosseum, a real symbol of Rome together with the Imperial Forum. Continue towards the Vittoriano or alter of the homeland, a monumnetal building in marble dedicated to King Vittorio Emanuele.

Walk through Piazza Venezia and then reach the Pantheon, one of the most incredible attractions of the capital, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture. In ancient times it was a temple dedicated to all the gods and subsequently it was transformed into a church. After almost 2000 years it holds the record for the largest unreinforced concrete dome in the world.

Another unmissable stop on this day is the Trevi fountain, symbol of the Dolce Vita, and proceed to Piazza di Spagna.

Between one monument and another, treat yourself to a short stop for a spaghetti alla carbonara or cacio e pepe in one of the typical inns of the city.

The visit of Villa Borghese cannot be missed. It is one of the largest parks in the city offering a beautiful view from the top.

Day 3

This day is dedicated to the Vatican and we advise you not to delay!

The first stop is the Basilica of San Pietro, an authentic temple of Catholicism. If you want to give yourself an extraordinary moment you cannot miss the visit of the dome from which you can admire Rome from 136 m high.

Once you get off the dome, you can head to the Vatican museums and contemplate the numerous artistic masterpieces including the Sistine chapel.

After your visit to the Vatican you can take Via Della Conciliazione and arrive at Castel Sant’Angelo by crossing the bridge of the same name, one of the most beautiful in Rome.

Day 4

Departure in the morning from your hotel or bnb towards Florence.

Check-in at the hotel. The afternoon of this day will be dedicated to visiting the Uffizi gallery, one of the most visited Italian museums. Inside you will be enchanted by the masterpieces of Botticelli, Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci.

Day 5

A whole day dedicated to the other beauties of Florence.

It begins with a visit to Piazza del Duomo where the marvelous cathedral with Brunelleschi’s dome and Giotto’s bell tower dominates. From the tower you can enjoy an incredible view of the city.

Continue to Piazza della Signoria, the ancient center of the political life of Florence. The protagonist of the square is the Palazzo Vecchio, the current seat of the municipality.

Continue towards the old bridge for a suggestive walk along a symbolic place of the city flanked by the historic jewelers of Florence. This leads to the Oltrarno area where it is possible to visit Palazzo Pitti, the Palatina Gallery and the Boboli Gardens.

Day 6

After breakfast it is time to leave for Venice. The day will be dedicated to travel, hotel accommodation and rest.

We recommend a walk in the late afternoon through the streets of the most romantic city in the world.

Day 7

The day will be entirely dedicated to the tour of Venice and the starting point could only be St. Mark’s Square, the most famous square in the city. On the square along the famous colonnades, there are numerous historical places including the famous Florian coffee.

The first monument to visit is the Basilica of San Marco, in Byzantine style and rich in numerous decorations. For a complete experience it is possible to visit the rich museum of San Marco and go up to the terrace of the basilica where the four horses from Constantinople are located. At this point to complete the visit of the square there is only the Doge’s Palace, the ancient seat of the republic of Venice.

You will leave the square to reach the famous bridge of sighs and end this incredible day with a suggestive gondola experience.

Day 8

Departure from Venice for Naples. The day will be dedicated to travel and accommodation in the hotel or bnb of your choice.

Day 9

The tour begins with one of the most evocative places in Naples: Piazza del Plebiscito. The square has a large colonnade that flanks the church dedicated to San Francesco di Paola. The structure is in neoclassical style and is clearly inspired by the Pantheon in Rome. You can’t miss a coffee break with Neapolitan sfogliatella.

Near the square stands the majestic royal palace, built in the seventeenth century on the occasion of the visit of King Philip II of Spain. Inside it is full of halls designed in the Neapolitan style of the 18th century.

We continue with a visit to the San Carlo theater, one of the most beautiful opera houses in the world. The neoclassical-style structure was built in just nine months after a fire destroyed the original. Not far from the theater is the Galleria Umberto I, a commercial gallery with neoclassical facades topped by a 56-meter dome.

After a short stop for lunch we suggest the historic center with the square and the Gesù Nuovo church. Continue towards the complex of Santa Chiara, one of the best known monasteries in Naples. The complex consists of the Gothic-Angevin basilica and four cloisters including the beautiful majolica cloister.

In the historic center there is also the beautiful chapel of San Severo, today a deconsecrated church that houses one of the most beautiful works of Italian sculpture: the Veiled Christ by Giuseppe Sanmartino.

On the way back, take a walk along Spaccanapoli, an ancient lower decuman of Roman origin.

Day 10
